Host: City of Penticton
The City of Penticton invite local businesses and residents to participate in e-mobility workshops. The workshops are meant to educate property owners and businesses about electric vehicles, e-bikes, and other e-mobility options.
The workshop will share the steps to install chargers and other infrastructure, the rebates and financial incentives available to do so, and in the case of stratas who have electric vehicle chargers, their new obligations to report and receive credits for the electricity sold.
Industry experts will be in attendance to answer questions on what's needed to get the infrastructure in place, how to access rebates, and the supports available to assist.
Three key reasons for attending these workshops:
all new car sales in BC will be electric as of 2035
currently there is 75% funding available to install EV chargers in stratas and MURBs
there is a new requirement from the Province for stratas that have EV chargers to report their usage, with a lucrative accompanying financial benefit of carbon credits available for all electricity sold
Multiple workshops will be held online. The Commercial/business workshop is on July 26, from 8-10am.
An in-person event will be announced shortly for end of July
Pre-registration is required. Please contact info@communityenergy.bc.ca or 250.469.6783 x719 to save your spot today.
Feel free to forward this invitation to any owners, property managers, or other interested parties.
