In the Seat at the Table webinar, Joanna Jagger, President of WORTH Association, examined why women aren't dominating in a female dominated industry and how we can work collectively to ensure more women take a seat at the table.
As the industry faces the most problematic labour shortage ever, this webinar encourages attendees to examine recovery through a gender based lens and calls on the industry to retain and develop women of recreation, tourism, and hospitality.

Joanna Jagger, President & Founder of WORTH Association
Joanna Jagger is passionate about educating future leaders and moving the dial for gender equity. She is the President and founder of WORTH Association, a society for women of recreation, tourism and hospitality.
Joanna is an Instructor in the School of Tourism Management at Capilano University. At CapU, she teaches Human Resources and Organizational Behaviour, helping students identify their career passion and potential. She has held leadership roles in sales, catering and human resources at top hospitality brands including Marriott International, Shangri-La Hotels, Sequoia Company of Restaurants and Joe Fortes Seafood and Chophouse. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), she provides HR solutions to individuals and organizations through her consulting practice, Adanac HR Services. Joanna has a Provincial Instructor’s Diploma from VCC and a Masters in Leadership from Royal Roads University.
BC Tourism Resiliency Network (BCTRN)
The BC Tourism Resiliency Network is a long-term resiliency program providing BC tourism businesses with meaningful support to navigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, adapt, and work towards recovery. The BCRTN is led by the BC Regional Tourism Secretariat, a collaboration between the following five regional destination management organizations: Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Association, Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association, Northern BC Tourism Association, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, and Tourism Vancouver Island.
