Export Development Canada (EDC) Expanded Services

Overview

Export Development Canada (EDC) is offering enhanced services and support exporting business overcome the challenges of COVID-19.

Enhanced Services Include:

  • Dedicated phone line for questions on exporting / COVID-19

  • Offering bank guarantee for all loans under $5 million

  • For EDC Credit Insurance customers, EDC will now cover losses for goods shipped even if the buyer has not accepted the goods, and waive the 60-day waiting period for claims.

  • Expanded mandate to deal with domestic supports - in conjunction with BDC.
