The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) is one of six Regional Destination Management Organizations (RDMO) in the province of British Columbia that work under the Super, Natural British Columbia brand as an official representative of Destination British Columbia. TOTA is a not-for-profit society governed by the BC Societies Act.
The TOTA office and Tourism Inspiration Centre are situated on the traditional, unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan People. The Thompson Okanagan region is situated on the traditional, unceded territory of three Interior Salish nations: the Syilx, Secwépemc, and Nlaka'pamux peoples.
The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association regional brand name “Thompson Okanagan” represents a geographic area nestled in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, Canada. The region’s name is derived from two major geographic features: the Thompson River and Okanagan Lake.
TOTA is an industry-led organization, governed by an elected Board of Directors, who represent and support business and community tourism interests throughout the Thompson Okanagan region.
The TOTA team is made up of experienced and dedicated professionals, focused on supporting the Thompson Okanagan tourism industry through marketing, destination development, and destination stewardship.
TOTA has two subsidiaries: Symphony Tourism Services (social enterprise branch) and the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Foundation (TOTF) (charitable foundation).
TOTA works with many strategically aligned organizations to collectively build a tourism industry that is innovative, inspirational, and a leader among provincial, national, and international destinations.
