About

Stress is apart of our everyday lives, and people feel and perceive stress differently. Perceptions of stress can overwhelm and impact decision making and relationships in all aspects of our life both at home, with friends and in the workplace. Join Angela Pomeroy for this free, 90-minute interactive Workshop for a session on addressing stress management. Angela, MEd CEQI 2.0 P and Okanagan College professor, will discuss how to use emotional intelligence to improve stress tolerance to help you manage stress, not the other way around.

This is an interactive session with breakout sessions to connect you with other BC tourism industry professionals. To participate, please join on a device with a microphone and/or webcam.

In preparation for the session (and if you did not attend the first Workshop with Angela), be sure to watch Angela's previous webinar recording. Please note, attendance is limited and pre-registration is required.

What to expect:

  • How to become more emotionally aware of stress responses in yourself and in others

  • How to use reality testing and impulse control to improve your stress tolerance

  • How other tourism leaders are dealing with stress in a breakout room
