Lumin McCutcheon, Trails to the Boundary Society

Lumin is the Economic Development Manager in the West Boundary with Trails to the Boundary Society, the region's community and economic development organization.

Since moving back to the Boundary region in 2021, Lumin has been involved in various projects including: the Rock Creek Visitor Centre, tourism initiatives, trail-related projects, the Kettle River Echo newsletter, seniors engagement program, and heritage projects. Lumin is also actively involved in the Boundary Food Hub.

Lumin is passionate about rural economic development, and brings several years of experience in this area. With a background in business analytics and management, she has worked with the Department of National Defence’s Engineering Division, and UVIC’s Gustavson School of Business - Executive Education. She holds degrees specializing in International Business and Project Management training.

She values supporting as well as understanding people and communities, and believes collaboration is key to promoting sustainable tourism in our rural areas. On a personal level, she has an avid interest in the history of the region, as well as outdoor recreation.
