The B.C. Employer Training Grant program provides access to the skills training needed to adapt to the changing requirements of jobs and the labour market while encouraging employer involvement in the training of their employees. Training must result in a better job at the applicant’s company once training is completed.
The ETG is a cost-shared program. Reimbursement amounts vary between 60% and 100% depending on the training stream. Employers are eligible to receive up to $300,000 per fiscal year (April 1 – March 31).

Read MoreThe Tourism Digital Academy is a free 8-week digital marketing program for BC tourism businesses who are interested in building their knowledge and skills in digital marketing at an intermediate level. The Self-Guided program provides six months of access to digital marketing instruction videos, templates and resources focused on practical, actionable guidance to set participants on the path to completing a digital marketing plan.
There are multiple intakes, each running for 8 weeks. Applications for the October intakes will open in August 2021.

TOTA is collaborating with Okanagan College to offer one-on-one training and mentoring sessions to tourism industry businesses with a focus on managing COVID-19 related challenges.
